ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik’s Brackwede facility enjoys a successful partnership with truck manufacturers which goes back decades, supplying components for all commercial vehicle classes.

The stamped and drawn parts are produced to exact customer specifications in line with load and application requirements. The increasing use of new high-strength steel grades makes it possible to significantly increase the cargo space/payloads of modern commercial vehicles.

In 2001, ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik acquired ThyssenKrupp Prisma, a French company located in Messempré, which adds roll-formed side members to the company’s range. ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik is now in a position to offer customized solutions to truck manufacturers, who can choose between the advantages of stamping (shorter cycle times, suitable for lightweight construction) and roll forming (less retooling, lower tooling costs).

In both these processes, ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik has recourse to the materials capabilities of the ThyssenKrupp Group to provide customers with tailor-made, low-cost, high-quality solutions.
